Why subscribe to SOH blog?

Subscribing to SOH blog means that you will receive automatic updates when new blog posts have been made and do not need to keep checking back to see if there is anything new.

There are two main ways you can subscribe to SOH blog:

1. Subscribe to RSS feed
2. Subscribe by e-mail

Subscribing to SOH blog using RSS

For those of you unfamiliar with RSS feeds, here is a great video which explains it a lot better than I could!

Many web resources are now making use of RSS feeds. Some examples of RSS feeds you might find useful include:

• RSS feeds of useful blogs in your research area (such as SOH blog!)
• RSS feeds of tables of contents of relevant journals (to keep up to date with new articles)
• RSS feeds of database searches (to be alerted when something is published which relates to you interests)
• RSS feeds of news websites (to keep up to date with developments around the world)

By using an RSS Reader such as Google Reader or Bloglines, you can keep track of all the most up-to-date information from all these and more. Why not set up an account with an RSS Reader and add SOH blog RSS feed to your subscriptions? You can click on the link and choose your provider, or you can copy the URL address and add it to your reader manually.

Subscribing to SOH blog by e-mail

You may also wish to subscribe to SOH blog by e-mail. This method is easier if you don’t want to start using RSS feeds as explained above. To subscribe by e-mail you just need to click on the link and type your e-mail along with the verification code. Then when SOH blog is next updated, you’ll receive an update in your chosen e-mail account.
