Today (12th May, anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth) is International Nurses Day to celebrate and remember all the valuable contributions nurses make to society.

Subscriptions to two School of Health databases, AgeInfo and ChildData, are being cancelled.
The databases supported courses which no longer run, and their usage figures are at low levels.
AgeInfo will be available until the end of June; ChildData finishes at the end of May.

The subscription for the Reuters Health Database is due for renewal at the end of January 2009. Looking at the usage statistics, 310 accesses for the February 2008-December 2008 period and the cost of £4,900 per year, the department will not be renewing the subscription.
